Our Troop meets on the first, third, and fifth (if applicable) Tuesday of each month from 7:00 - 8:30 PM at St. Margaret of Scotland Church in Newark, DE.  (Directions

Mandatory Action for Parents - Youth Protection

  1.  Click the 'YOUTH PROTECTION' link under the left-side Menu of the webpage.
  2.  REVIEW the policies and requirements for Troop 283.
  3.  Follow this link to the registration event.  Once on the event, REGISTER to acknowledge that you've read and understand the Youth Protection policies.

This will 'sign off' that you have taken the Youth Protection Pledge for this year.

Akridge Scout Reservation - Space Exploration

On Friday March 19, 2021, Troop 283 will blast for Akridge Scout Reservation to light off some rockets and complete activities for the Space Exploration Merit Badge.   If you already have the Merit badge - or just don't want to take that Merit Badge - that's OK!  Bring your own rocket and we will send your rocket up until we either run out of engines - or - we can no longer find your rockets!

Troop Whitewater Rafting on Lehigh River

Join with your fellow Scouters on a wet and wild rafting trip down the Lehigh River during our June campout in the Poconos.   Can't come for the whole weekend?  Join us for rafting on Saturday.   This is a "dam release" weekend, so we are guaranteed good water!   That also means reservations go early, sign up now so you don't miss out!   Sign-up Here

Evan Mruk's Eagle Project Workday - 2/6

Evan is planning to install a bluebird house trail at Sharp Farm in Middletown located at 2978 DuPont Parkway, just north of Odessa on Rte. 13N. Please wear your Class B, work shoes, and dress warmly for the weather. A face mask is required, and please bring work gloves and eye protection if you have your own.
